This is another one I always liked and think of it as your most uniquely positioned illusionist oil portrait, at least among those that I have had the pleasure to view. By combining a macro closeup with a painterly approach as to form and surface treatment, this one is a real standout!
I'm sure you've often been told that your work is incredible. I love the texture you've achieved in this piece, the horse looks so real that the viewer's almost tempted to reach out and touch. Not only is it a perfect likeness, the horse's eyes are beautifully done. They're a reflection of the gentle, kind and calm nature of the animal, and the innate curiosity that they have seem to have in spades. Thank you so much for sharing your fabulous work, I can't wait to see more from you.

Don't forget who's taking you home, and in whose arms you're gonna be,
So darling, save the last dance for me. ♫

:headbang:
Wow. I'm simply amazed. Love it ;)
superb up close and personal image, the single strands of hair work great and add to the reality, you should consider entering this into the BP portrait award !
it looks very much like a photo, I would never have guessed it was a painting! I still feel unsure about it ;)

You have never lived...until you've learned to love.
Gorgeous!! You've captured the spirit in the eyes and the detail is to die for.
I am becoming accustomed to seeing hyperreal and photoreal paintings, but to be honest, I still cannot imagine how you achieve what you do with oil paints on canvas! I have not been painting long and have not had any real tutoring, but clearly without or without practice and proper training, what you achieve in these beautiful portraits is beyond what most artists (or actually any other artist) could achieve, the combination of accuracy and a real loving tenderness is really very special indeed!
